Children's Rights in Pakistan

Urooj Fatima speaking at our monthly meeting last month
At our monthly meeting last month, Urooj Fatima explained how geo-politics (including the west's involvement in neighbouring Afghanistan) has negatively impacted the rights of children in the former FATA area of Pakistan. Children and young people living there have grown up with war and militant influences. Urooj explained that, while there is a national action plan to rehabilitate communities in these areas, there is still a war in Afghanistan and militants move freely over the border.

March Monthly Meeting

Our monthly meeting this month takes place on Tuesday 10 March at the usual venue - York Friends Meeting House, Friargate, York YO1 9RL. We do not have a guest speaker so the meeting starts at 7.30 pm. We finish by 9.00 pm at the latest. As always, everyone is welcome to attend.
