Azza Soliman is a lawyer in Egypt. She campaigns to protect women in her home country from being harassed at work, beaten and raped. For more than 30 years she has stood up for the rights of her fellow countrywomen. The Egyptian government accuses her of harming their country's image. If she is found guilty, Azza faces years in prison. Until her trial, her bank account is frozen and she is banned from travelling outside Egypt. We call on President al-Sisi to drop the charges against her and others in the country.
We danced around St Sampson's Square in York city centre on Sunday 14 July - to draw attention to Azza's cause.
